The hilarious sequel to Small! But you need no previous knowledge to enjoy this comic gem full of vampires, werewolves and evil tooth fairies.

In Small!, Harvey went to a school for giants- but now we follow Harvey and his friend Walloping Toenail into the Vampire mountains as they try to work out what made the Never-Ending Contracts never-ending and tied Norma Enormous and the Skelephant to the Unspeakable Circus. Something’s bitten the contracts. Could it be something with never-ending venom? As the new Chosen One, Harvey thinks it’s his job to find out.Viscount Bloodsucker, head of the school for vampire dentists (polish up your fangs!) promises to help. But Harvey will have to move fast, because the Unspeakable Circus is on his tail, and Mistress Ring has a great idea for a new act – feeding a Small to the zombie lions!

SMALL BITES BACK is even more hilarious than book 1 (and that’s saying something!) The delight of vampire dentists and sinister tooth fairies had me crying with laughter. Humour is so hard to do well and Hannah nails it every time.

– A. F. Steadman, author of Skandar and Unicorn Thief

Brace yourselves for a fangtastic sequel that’s even more hilariously anarchic than SMALL! With a parade of brilliant characters (including unspeakable zombie clowns and toffee-pushing tooth fairies), Small Bites Back is riotously funny and inventive.

– Lucy Brandt, Leonora Bolt: Secret Inventor

WOW, absolutely fangtastic! Small bites back with a giant bite!

– Zillah Bethell, The Shark Caller

What a riotous, funny roller-coaster of a book.  The characters are quirky, brave and loyal to their friends and school. A fantastic read for KS2,(age 7-11), although some competent KS1 pupils, (age 4-7), will love it as well and it would be a wonderful book to read in class.

– Margaret Pemberton, English Association
